June in a nutshell

The highlight of June for our family was my brother Darin's wedding.  It was great to spend so much time with family and all be together before my parents leave on their mission at the end of July.

Other June happenings include Dan's birthday.  We were in Idaho, so we had to celebrate with some Reed's Dairy ice cream. Dan also got to play some frisbee golf, so it was a good day.

Yep, that about sums up June!

Annie's Blessing

Two weeks ago was Annie's baby blessing at church.  We loved having the support of so much family! I think we counted 26 adults and about 40 nieces/nephews at our place for lunch afterwards.  My mom made the blessing dress for Annie and it turned out great:

We love our little Annie!

Annie Michele Meservy

Call me a slacker, but I believe I have a valid excuse for not updating the blog more often.  Her name is Annie Michele Meservy and she was born April 16.  She was 8 lbs and 20 inches long.  She has a lot of blonde hair and is a very sweet, happy baby.

Having four kids has been quite the experience.  The volume around our house has definitely increased!  For example, the other days the boys taught Logan how to roar:

Nap time is what saves me every day.  Luckily, all four kids' naps overlap in the afternoon and I can usually squeeze in a 45 minute nap myself!  Oh, the beauties of "Baby Wise."  Hyrum is getting to the point where he doesn't exactly love nap time, but he'll still take some books with him for some "quiet time."  It usually ends like this:

Dan and I are slowly starting to get into a rhythm and figuring out how to have four kids.  It's loud.  It's crazy.  There are a lot of diapers.  But we love it.

Happy birthday Logan!!

It's gone by fast, but it's official:  Logan is now one year old!  I guess that's a good thing when you consider he'll be a big brother sometime here in the next three weeks!  Logan is such a fun, happy guy.  He has the happiest laugh and his smiles are pretty contagious.  He recently started walking and is on the go constantly.  I can't decide if he's trying to keep up with or get away from his brothers. . . Here are the obligatory cute pictures of him eating his first birthday cake:

Hyrum and Miles enjoyed the cake too:

Besides birthdays, we're keeping busy getting ready for baby, playing, working in the yard, and loving the warm weather!  One of the boys' favorite things to do is play "Dinosaur Train."  They both know amazing amounts of dinosaur names, including "cretoxyrhina," and "michelinoceras."  Here they are playing in their "Junior Conductor" hats:

 Yep, life is good!

Our Little Bookworm

Hyrum has always loved to read.  One of his favorite things is going to the library. He will sit and read new library books for literally hours on end.  Lately he loves memorizing short books or portions of books, and then "reading" them to me, Miles, or whomever.  He does a good job.  I hope his love of books continues!

And just because I love this picture:

Playing Catch Up. . .

So, it's been about 6 months since I updated the blog.  I could make excuses, but instead I'll just throw in the obligatory cute pictures of the kids, shall I? (In my defense, I will say that now that I have a working computer I will be more consistent).

Here's what each of the boys has been up to lately.

Hyrum:
Hyrum LOVES animals and had a fun time at the zoo this fall.

Hyrum turned 3 in October and now loves going to Primary.

Miles:
Miles has a fun, cheesy personality that is really starting to show.

He turned 2 in December!

Logan:

I went in to get him one morning and found him like this in his crib, totally content.

He is such a happy baby!

You can't see them here, but he now has 4 teeth and is breaking two more.  He's also crawling all over the place and cruising furniture.

The boys:

Hyrum & Miles "ran" a one mile run this summer.

Our giraffe, cougar, and elephant at Halloween.

Ready for church!

Rub-a-dub-dub!

They love playing together! (. . . most of the time)

Our boys keep us busy and we're excited that a baby girl will be joining us in April.  Life is definitely good!
