Student Teaching

As many of you know, I've been doing my student teaching this semester. It's been such a fun experience. I taught the Level C class, which means they are all high-beginners. And yes, I said "taught." As in past tense. The first five week block has flown by and now I'm done with that class. I now switch to a new class for the next five weeks. I'll be teaching in the mornings and my new class is Level 5, which means they're all high-advanced. So, it'll be quite a change. I'm way excited for it though! ESL is so fun, and very rewarding. I am loving it!

This is my class. I had students from Mexico, Bolivia, Peru, Argentina, El Salvador, Brazil, Thailand, Hong Kong, Japan, and Romania!!

These are some of my students at our mid-term party. It was a potluck and everyone brought dishes from their native countries. I got to try Thai food for the first time, had some awesome athentic Mexican food and even some Korean Kim Bop!

This is my team-teacher, Jung Eun Chung (Julie) from Korea. She was so much fun to work with!

And for those of you who haven't seen our new apartment yet, here are a couple fotos. We'll post more as soon as we finish getting our moving boxes packed away. It's tiny, but we love it!

Dan got really excited when we got our new toilet! Not that I blame him!

My sister Amy and her family, along with my parents and Darin came over after a BYU basketball game for hot chocolate. I don't think our place was built to hold so many people....

Yep, he's sweeping our bed. Gotta love him.
