So long, Springville!

This has been an exciting week for us. It's our last week as Springvillians. It was bitter sweet to say goodbye on Sunday to the good people in our ward and to our Sunday school class. Springville has been good to us and we have really enjoyed our time here. But, it's on to bigger and better things! This week so far has been filled with packing and getting everything ready for the big move. I think I spent a couple hours on the phone trying to figure out who we needed to talk to in order to get the utilities switched over to our name. Apparently we technically will live in Riverton, though we're inside the Herriman boundaries. It took a while, but I finally got it sorted out... I think...

There's not much more to say than that we're SO EXCITED to have our own place! This weekend can't get here fast enough!

Oh, and because no blog post would be complete without a picture or video of the cutest baby in Springville:

He absolutely loves his ball. It entertains him for hours!

Sunday Best

This Sunday we took Hyrum to church with us. Our Sunday School class (the 16 and 17 year-olds) absolutely loved him. One of the guys in the class held him practically the whole time. He did really well at church and just looked around and checked things out while we were there. Here's some pictures of him all dressed up in his Sunday best.

Don't worry, we didn't really make him wear my glasses to church.

It's official!

Dan and I are so excited. This week we closed on our new home in Herriman! We met with our realtor and our loan guy (my brother-in-law) and the guy from the title company on Wednesday where we signed (and signed, and signed, and signed, and signed) the paperwork. The next day the sellers signed all their papers and now it's official--we have our house! The only downside is that the sellers aren't out yet. They have to be out no later than January 29, so that is our tentative move-in date. They're trying to get out earlier, so we'll see if that happens. It is so exciting to think that in as little as 3 weeks we'll be in our very own place!!
