For your enjoyment:

I think somebody is ready for a nap!

How do little kids sleep like that?!

Strangling and hugging is the same thing for boys, right?

BYU Football New Logo

Since one of BYU's objectives in going independent in football is to spread the word of the Church and we no longer need the Mountain West logo, I figured this would be the next logical step:

A Baby Blessing

Sunday was Miles's baby blessing. It turned out to be a really nice event for our family. After the blessing, we managed to cram about 50 people (half of them 13 and under) into our little house. Dan and I both come from large families, and though it can be a little crazy with so many people, we love their support and were happy to have them in our home. Luckily, a lot of the kids were impervious to the cold and played outside--freeing up some sitting space, and taking the noise level down a notch.

Here's the star of the show in the blessing outfit my mom made for him:

Brothers

It's hard to believe Miles is already 6 weeks old. Time flies when you're sleep deprived. . . It has been a lot of fun to have him in our family. He is a really good baby.

One of my favorite parts about having two kids is watching Hyrum try to interact with and play with Miles. He always comes over to Miles and pats him on the head. Then he'll go play for a while, and then come back to check on Miles again and pat him on the head. This morning after breakfast he headed straight to the crib to check on Miles.

I recognize that someday the fighting and wrestling will begin, but for now, it is so great to watch my boys play together. How fun to have a brother!

Hyrum also likes to "give Miles love." He used to give us little kisses on the cheek whenever Dan and I would ask for love, but that has evolved into bonking us on the head when we ask for love. He loves to "bonk" Miles--and does a pretty good job remembering to "be soft."
