Laurie: So, along with all the wedding plans, Dan and I have been trying to plan for life after the wedding as well. And today we got a major break! I was surfing Craigslist at work when I came across a little basement apartment for rent in Springville. It was one of the cheapest we'd seen, so we decided to check it out. We went down to Springville when I got out of class to take a look. It's a tiny one bedroom, one bath apartment with awesome yellow walls. (That's Dan's favorite feature).
The landlord was a really nice guy and agreed to hold the apartment for us until January. With that, we were sold! That gives us about a month to find apartment furnishings....hmm...should be fun!
Dan: We're both pretty excited about it. $450 a month everything included? Not bad when the average apartment around BYU is $550 base then utilities on top of that. Can't complain! Well, I can, there's no room for a table in our itty-bitty kitchen, but hey! Just go with the flow. It'll work out nicely. 10 days left! We're getting married next week! Wahoo!

The shower
So, I've been to quite a few bridal showers in my life. Being the youngest of 5 sisters will do that to you. But I must say that of all that I've been to, the one I've enjoyed the most was this past Saturday. My sisters really out-did themselves. The food was absolutely wonderful! And the interview with Dan via video was really fun. I'm glad to learn that I do know him well enough to marry him.
The best part for me was being with the people I love the most and sharing this exciting time with them. A big thank you to all who came and made it such a special occasion. I loved seeing my sisters, future sisters-in-law, roommates both past and present, neices, friends, and both Mom Knapp & Mom Meservy there. I felt so loved and supported. It was great!
